Multimedia Package
This is an announcement for version 2.1 of the multimedia package.
The package currently contains:
- XPlaycd
- is a program to use your cdrom as an audio player featuring
playlists, a database and volume control.
- XMdb
- Standalone editor for your cd database.
- XMixer
- gives you control over your soundcard's mixer device and
lets you change a bunch of volume and level settings.
- XGetfile
- a versatile file requester usable in shell scripts or
standalone. A small example which uses it as a front-end
to an audio file player is included in the manpage.
- XG3
- allows you to view FAX files. This one has scrollbars,
rotate and zoom buttons. If you set up a fax printer
driver, you can print from XG3.

All programs have a nice 3D look and feel.
You don't need no silly libraries like Motif or anything else.
Detailed manpages for all programs but XMdb and XG3 are included.
